Red Bull free running acrobatics on Santorini. Simply Amazing (pics+vid)

Poetry in motion on Santorini

Newsroom August 4 05:30

Free running is an amazing acrobatic sport that involves using fluid body moves while taking advantage of the surrounding environment to get from one destination to another. It requires intense training, extreme focus, great discipline and agility.

Red Bull energy drink has been organising the ‘Red Bull Art of Motion’ free-running competition since 2011 in the most beautiful locations around the world. One the most captivating and difficult courses is that on the island of Santorini. The competitors have to execute their run on top of the picturesque white houses to the majestic backdrop of the volcanic island.

In 2014 19-year-old Dimitris Kyrsanidis managed to win the Santorini course dazzling the judges with his performance and beating some of the top names in the sport. Santorini has been chosen once more to be the main event location for the finalists of the 2015 competition. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on October 3. Enjoy some breathtaking acrobatics and scenery.
