Mia Khalifa was born in Beirut in 1993 and wore a hijab, but that’s not the last time she wore it, as disgruntled Muslims will tell you.

In 2000 she and her family moved to the United States, settling in Maryland. She earned a BA in history at the University of Texas at El Paso. In 2011 she got married to an American man, while in Florida she is the unofficial mascot of the Florida State Seminoles.

The Lebanese girl began her career in the porn only in 2014, at 21. In less than two months she become the top porn star on Pornhub, but also caused a furor of protests by some hardliners in a smattering of Muslim communities, who accused her of dishonoring their faith and culture. Her wearing a hijab during a porn scene only added fuel to the already “flaming fire”.

Since then she started receiving numerous death threats from Lebanese Muslims and others. Khalifa has over 1.5 million views on Pornhub since she got into the porn industry.
