The Greek Coast Guard seized a ship on Tuesday carrying ammunition and weapons near the southern island of Crete, reports the Associated Press. The shipment is believed to be linked to the Islamic State group in Libya however this has neither been confirmed or denied by the local authorities.

Libya has become a hotbed for ISIS fighters in recent months and there has been sever political turmoil in the country since the 2011 uprising that toppled Moammar Gadhafi.
