Political parties and five political coalitions will vie for Greek citizens’ vote in the upcoming Sept. 20 election — the third time ballots will be set up in 2015 in a bid to for something to grad the “Greek electoral charm”

A formal announcement is expected by a relevant Supreme Court department.

Eighteen parties and four coalitions had been declared legal for the Jan. 25 election. One party’s application is under examination, with a ruling expected in days.

A deadline has now passed for participation in the upcoming election.

One party, at No. 11 on a relevant list, stands out of its name: Indepdent Renawalist left, Renewalist Right, Renewalist PASOK, Renewalist New Democracy, No to War, Party for Operation I Grant Land Plots, I Forgive Debts, Save Lives, Pan-Agrarian Labor Movement of Greece – PA.E.K.E, with the party leader identified as one Miltiades Tzalazidis.

Coalitions include a newly formed election partnership between once-mighty socialist PASOK and previously the Parliament-represented Democratic Left (DI.MAR).
