Despite the fact that there are many studies on the nationalities that are endowed with the biggest penises there are few studies that actually have the exact penis size. Furthermore, studies we already have are of dubious accuracy bearing in mind that men tend to overestimate themselves.

A study in the British Journal of Urology International, however, synthesizes data from 17 previous academic papers with measurements from a total of 15,521 men around the world. By calculating averages, the scientists were able to model the estimated destribution of penile dimensions around the world.

Indiana University Behavioral Scientist Debra Herbenick said, “It still just strikes me how many men have questions and insecurities and concerns about their own penis size. We actually do need good data on it.”

Without further ado, the average penis is 9.16 cm in length and when erect it can reach 13.12cm. The corresponding girth is 9.31 cm for a flaccid penis and 11.66 cm for erect. Here’s the graph:

Only five out of 100 men have a penis smaller than 10cm.
