Hollywood star asks for justice for the victims of the economic crisis stating to Hollywood Reporter that “People suffered as they did and yet no one was held accountable and nothing seemed to change,” adding that “It’s disgusting. It makes me angry,”.
Brad Pitt produces and stars in The Big Short,- a film based on Michael Lewis’ best selling book on the run up to the housing market meltdown in 2008.
“What I liked about the film is that it tries to explain to people how they got screwed.’ he said.
The Big Short deals with the true-to-life story of a few men that were able to make millions off the housing and credit bubble.
Pitt said he had been really keen to take on the story as he, like so many others, had been left ‘wondering, questioning, angered by the fact that this whole collapse happened and people suffered as they did, and yet no one was held accountable and nothing seemed to change.
‘And it’s true nothing has really changed.’ he added.
