Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras asked for the government to speed up its work while speaking on Wednesday at the Cabinet meeting, the last for 2015, and noted that “delays can’t be excused”.
11 government actions were announced that will be implemented over the coming period. These include:
* draft laws on social security issues
* the creation of a development bank
* a new primary healthcare system within the National Health System
* the development of the social economy and the tabling of a draft law on research
* the modernization of the public works system and public contracts
* a draft law against tobacco and fuel smuggling.
* income declaration of hidden income otherwise the undeclared income will be taxed with repercussions for those who hid them
* combatting tax evasion
The PM announced rapid developments in the direction of tax evasion, by stating that the general secretary of the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) ruling party last week had a meeting with Herve Falciani from who he had received a list with thousands of international transactions that he handed over to the prosecutor.
