A suspect trying to blow up an automatic condom machine was killed. The man, aged 29 years, ran for cover in a shelter machine when he was hit on the head by a flying piece of metal.

His suspected accomplices brought him to the hospital after their plans went awry while trying to steal the machine at Schöppingen, a town in northwestern Germany.

Attempts to reanimate him failed after his accomplices took him to hospital. The dispenser was destroyed with wares and money on the ground.
