Greeks continued to blame “austerity” for their woes in 2015, Telegraph writes in an article on the most important incidents that marked 2015.

At the same time, the article says, Greece’s fellow EU members pointed to the country’s reckless spending as well as pay and conditions that more productive countries could only dream of.

As the top fact of the year, the Telegraph mentions that Greek hairdressers can retire at 50 getting a full pension, since hairdressing is classified as a “hazardous occupation” while a worker at car assembly line in Leipzig cannot retire until he gets 65.

However, as the article mentions, the consequences of keeping Greece within the Eurozone were bad, but those of Greece leaving might be even worse.
