Police found on Monday noon the car of the two missing young men during the investigations carried out at Messolonghi, Etoloakarnania and the wider area.

The car was found in an irrigation canal at Acheloos river, next to the road and just a few meters away the village of Katoxi on the way to Lesini village where security cameras had recorded them.

The bodies of both men were found inside the car and police try to recover the bodies fo the two young men from the car.

The two friends, Giannis, 40, and Vassilis, 35, had been missing from New Year’s day, when they went out to entertain after the arrival of the New Year at the village of Pentalofo, but they did not return home.

The last time they were seen was at 5:00 am on New Year’s day at Lesini village when a security camera recorded their car.
