The massive sexual attacks occurred on New Year’s Even in Cologne, Germany are proven to be large-scale incidents, since similar assault were recorded in at least four other German cities, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.

In all cases, witnesses said that the attackers were young men even younger than 18 years old, who sexually attacked women of all ages while also stealing their the money and cell phones.

These incidents have caused a great debate mainly because of the accusations German police and German media face of trying to hide the facts due to fears of violent incidents against immigrants.

At least 100 women in Cologne have filed complaints and most of them relate to sexual attacks, including two rapes. According to eyewitnesses and police, the attackers lookedas if they were from “the Arab or North African region”, while only three people have been identified until now.

Many women start talking about their horrifying experience the moment of the attacks.

‘I heard a sizzling sound in my hood,’ said a woman. ‘I somehow tried to get the firecracker out of the hood. Then it fell into my jacket and burned everything.’ adding that ‘The scars will be permanent. I was lucky that it didn’t explode.’

‘We were fondled, I was groped between my legs. My friends were also fondled. My boyfriend tried to pull me away. There was quite a big group of people, maybe thirty or forty,’ another woman stated.

One of the first victim’s to speak out, an 18-year-old named only as Michelle, said that she was surrounded by a group of 30 ‘angry’ men who groped her and her friends then stole their belongings as they fled.

‘We managed to go into the cathedral and wanted to go past the Museum Ludwig to join everyone and watch the fireworks by the river, but suddenly we were surrounded by a group of between 20 and 30 men.’

‘They were full of anger, and we had to make sure that none of us were pulled away by them. They were groping us and we were trying to get away as quickly as possible.’

The men also took the opportunity to steal them taking their objects from their pockets.
