The Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) ruling party has been struck by negative developments concerning concerning its migrant policy. There is real danger that Greece may be ousted from the Schengen Zone within the next three months, with former migration policy minister John Panousis stressing that he had warned the government of this threat. He posted on Facebook stating that he had been called a “bon viveur”, “nationalist” and even “ignorant” concerning his forecast that the country would be trapped by the migrant crisis as thousands of refugees flooded the country.

He writes:

The walls are

but in our heads

Marguerite Duras, A cursed world.

It is very awkward to talk about you or, rather, about your proposals/actions. But sometimes their “complex un-gratefulness” goes beyond the limits.

* I told them: “1,000,000 migrants will enter and the country cannot cope.”

They said: Ignorant.

Now they are running ot understand how the Europeans will use the Treaty against us.

* I told them: “Watch out, we’ll be a black box. Hundreds of thousands of refugees/migrants will be trapped in the country.”

They said: Pessimist.

Now they are running to persuade mayors and residents.

* I said: “We need change.”

They said: Non-leftist because borders are open to all.

Now they are running to persuade that they are guarding the borders.

* I said: “The fence at Evros should not fall.”

They said: Nationalist (possibly due to the fact that I’d lived for 19 years in Thrace).

Now they are running behind heightened walls/guards around all of Europe.

It is not wrong for someone to fall out in estimations. It is bad to not dare to say who warned you and when, who said the opposite and why. There can be no National Politics with closed-minded little people stuck in ideologies.
