Greek farmers drive their tractors to Thessaloniki center

They continue blocking the main roads of Greece

Farmers decided to escalate their protest actions and they continue blocking the main roads of Greece.

Today the farmers of North Greece headed with their tractors to the center of Thessaloniki to protest against the social security reforms and tax bill that the Greek government proposes.

Farmers will keep the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway at Kastro closed until 20:00 on Friday while on Saturday they will block the road from 12:00 to 24:00.

Moreover, farmers from the region of Fthiotida will block the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway as well as the regional roads at Atalanti and Anthili from 12:00 to 14:00 and on Saturday from 12:00 to 24:00. They will also close the old national road from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 19:00 to 22:00 and on Saturday from 12:00 to 24:00.

In Peloponnese, farmers remain at the blockades without interrupting the traffic. However, the farmers said they will escalate their mobilisations and will close the Corinth-Tripolis motorway at Nestani on Friday midnight.
