Argyris Pantazaras gives Horn prize money to refugees and children

The 27-year-old actor was awarded for his performance in three productions

Actor Argyris Pantazaras received this year’s Dimitris Horn theater award in an event held on Monday at Dimitris Horn theater.

Pantazaras was awarded for his performance in “ΑΩ” monologue adapted and directed by him, William Shakespeare’s King Lear for playing the Fool, directed by Tomasz Pantour, and Euripides’ Rhesus, directed by Katerina Evangelatou.

Other candidates were actors Konstantinos Aspiotis, Konstantinos Gogoulos and Giorgos Papageorgiou.

The 27-year-old actor thanked all the participants of the three productions for which he was nominated and referring to the prize of 3,000 euros he said:

“I wish I could use this amount of money to rebuild a home for those people who are on the streets of our country. I wish I could rebuild our own country”.

“Some money will be given for food supplies and medical care for the refugees” and “the rest of the money will be given for school meals, because there are children who have nothing to eat when they return home from school,” Pantazaras said.
