Two Greek restaurants among world’s best places to eat at

See which places in Athens are included in the list with the best restaurants to eat at before you die

Newsroom May 6 09:42

People who work and travel around the world were asked by Buzzfeed to tell them about their favorite restaurants on the planet.

From holes in the wall to Michelin-starred feasts, the famous website presented some of the places they recommended, including two Greek restaurants.

BBC journalist Jess Brammar recommended Ama Laxei in Exarchia, Athens, where “the food is amazing – traditional Greek but with a modern twist, lots of salads and plates to share”. And even though “the service is fairly terrible, and it became a running joke that they forgot some of our order every time, when you are sitting in an Athenian courtyard at midnight drinking wine and laughing with friends, who cares?”.

Another Greek restaurant included in the list is Seychelles located in Keramikos, Athens, which was recommended by Guardian feature writer Jon Henley .

“This restaurant has never once disappointed in the last five years since I’ve been there. The food is Greek with a slight but inventive and hugely satisfying twist, and its quality is astounding” Henley writes.
