The new losses in employees and pensioners income are starting as of June. Employees earning 700-800 euros and pensioners getting a pension of 2,000 euros will lose from 2.5 to 23 euros per month due to the increase in the monthly withholding tax on their income.

Over the next few hours, the government will announce details on how this tax will be withheld.

Therefore, during the next 6 months most Greek citizens will lose from 15 to 140 euros per month, while it has not been clarified yet, if greater cuts are to come, in case the government decides to apply the tax retroactively from January 1st, 2016.
