In an article published in Avghi newspaper, SYRIZA MP Giorgos Kyritsis talked about government’s conscious choice to transfer the tax burden to those who voted “yes” in July’s referendum with the slogan “We are staying in EU”.

Former spokesman of the coordinating committee for refugees Kyritsis lashed out at “bourgeois press” because it criticizes the government, ignoring that the harsh measures affect the poorest citizens and claiming that the government’s political tactics protect the weak.

“SYRIZA government conducts an undeclared class war against the rich people in order to protect the weak,” he said adding that this is why SYRIZA won September’s election, to transfer the tax burden to those who supported the movement “We are staying in EU” and this is exactly what the government has been doing.
