The offshore amendment scandal revealed by Proto Thema newspaper has led to political turmoil with all opposition parties lashing out at the government.

Many SYRIZA MPs, though, have also expressed their disagreement regarding the inclusion of the amendment in question which allows politicians to own offshore companies in tax havens countries.

SYRIZA-aligned newspaper Avgi also lashed out at government’s decision to include the controversial provision and in an article published today it demands the withdrawal of the specific provision.

According to information, government spokesperson Olga Gerovasili is expected to announce corrective actions, even though, opposition parties as well as many SYRIZA MPs are asking the government to withdraw the provision.
