Turkish plane low flight over Oinousses

Turkey breaks summer moratorium

A Turkish CN-235 military surveillance plane has made a low flight over the the Greek island of Panagia, between the islands of Lesvos and Chios. According to information at the disposal of Protothema.gr, the plane flew approximately at an altitude of 500 meters over the isle of Panagia at 11.43 am. The Turkish airforce had substantially increased the level of and volume of overflight provocations on the islands of Oinousses and Panagia in April. With today’s provocation Ankara has violated the summer no flight moratorium that provides from refraining provocative over flights and encroachments into national airspace.
