The 53-year- old woman from Mihaniona, Thessaloniki, who disappeared on Tuesday night during the extreme rainfalls is still missing, after police found her deserted car in the centre of the region early Thursday morning.
Police, the Coast Guard, the Fire Department and the Hellenic Rescue Team are still searching for her whereabouts, but have so far failed to find her.
“Help, I have escaped from the window” were the last words that the missing woman told her husband on the phone. After that, there are still no signs of her.
Police found only her shoes in her car, and after long hours of investigation some parts of her clothes were also discovered.
The 53 year old married woman was returning home from her work, when the extreme rainfalls started. She was trapped in her car, but managed make it out of the window and called her husband for help.

The tragic irony for the family is that 5 years ago they had lost their son in their house, from an electric shock.
