Police have arrested a 35-year-old Greek man in Athens for possession and sharing of child pornography material. The cyber crime unit has drawn up a case against the suspect after tracing his online trail during an ongoing global investigation to crack down on internet child pornography. Police managed to pinpoint his exact location after months of ‘following’ his online ‘footprint’, before receiving the the prosecutor issued a warrant for the lifting of confidentiality on communications. After searching his home police confiscated an external hard drive and a laptop. The file will be sent to the prosecutor’s office.
