In an interview to French TV “France 24”, Greek PM Alexis Tsipras said its was time for Germany and Greece’s creditors to fulfill their promises about the debt. “We are the last bastion of stability amidst multiple crises in the region, and it is time Germany and the lenders honour their promises on the debt, in order that a positive signal can be sent to the markets and investors”, Tsipras told the network. The Greek PM leveled harsh criticism against German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble, accusing him of pushing for punitive measures against Greece and wanting to kick her out of the common currency area. The French reporter was tough on the Greek PM opening her interview by asking Tsipras how a radical left-government that had promised fight austerity was now slashing pensions and and implementing measures that were leading to social turmoil.
