The world’s top supermodels strutted their stuff, Wednesday, at Victoria Secret’s runway in Paris. Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes, Kendall Jenner, sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, and Lily Aldridge walked for the US lingerie giant in Paris.
The VS parade is massive business for the models, who have a collective net worth of more than $50 million, according to Forbes.
Being Victoria’s Secret models adds serious cred to their careers, with the accolade last year catapulting Jenner and Gigi Hadid from rising stars to supermodel status. The US lingerie giant took over the venue usually reserved for Chanel’s high-fashion runway to mark its 21st parade.
Models wore some seriously striking lingerie ensembles (and trademark feathered wings).
Famous for its barely-there bras and knickers, Victoria’s Secret attempted a more high-fashion and covered up look this year, dressing models in thigh-high boots, sheer capes and Burberry-style trench coats, even styling Jasmine Tookes in a sleeved top.
Though she showed off her, um, cheeky side when she turned around. Lingerie looks were styled around the themes of Road Ahead, Mountain Romance, Pink Nation, Secret Angel, Dark Angel and Bright Night Angel. Victoria’s Secret runway veterans (by model standards) Lima and Ambrosio, both 35, and Aldridge, 31, were joined by younger social media stars including Taylor Hill, 20, Jenner, 21, Gigi Hadid, 21, and Bella Hadid, 20.
