Lagarde-Tsipras: They still don’t seem to agree

They don't agree on the solution of the Greek problem

Newsroom February 23 08:37

Although there was an understanding on Monday’s Eurogroup and a relatively good climate between the Institutions and the Greek government, the IMF Director Christine Lagarde is saying that we are not on the right path.

According to mignatiou.com, he said that she told the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, during a phone call they had, that she disagrees with the prospect of a political solution he proposes.

Also, it seems that although the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Mrs. Lagarde agreed on a lot of things during their meeting, the gap between them is still there which will require new compromises from all sides and especially the Greek government.

The target still remains the conclusion of the 2nd evaluation as soon as possible.
