The British Prime Minister Theresa May took what she wanted from the House of Commons. The bill “Draft Law of the European Union [notification of withdrawal]” passed and now the Brexit procedure can finally start.
The Prime Minister can invoke the Article 50 that will mean the beginning of the negotiations as soon as she chooses. According to information from Downing Street, she will wait until the last week of March for that.
Earlier, the House of Commons turned down two amendments of the House of Lords. The first was about the protection of the rights of the EU citizens in the UK and the second was aiming in giving the Parliament the final word for the agreement with Brussels.
