A 83-year-old woman on Thursday morning succumbed to her burns from the East Attica wildfires of July 23.

The woman, who was hospitalized at KAT Hospital, is the 98th fatality of the destructive fires in Mati.

The victim is the 15th person who died in the hospital. According to the health ministry, 24 people are still hospitalized in Attica, with four of them still in intensive care units.
