A 33-year-old man from Crete was sentenced to 58 years in prison after he was found guilty of raping his 8-year-old daughter uninterruptedly for 3 years.

The verdict was handed down by the mixed jury of the city of Lasithi, which was shocked at the gynecologist’ examination of the girl (11 years old now) as the report revealed her genitals resembled that of a grown woman as a result of being repeatedly raped for 3 years by her father.

The accused did not plead guilty, instead claiming the allegations were fabricated by his ex-wife and her mother for financial differences, a claim promptly dismissed by the court.

The shocking details became public during the court hearings when it was revealed the girl had been raped on multiple occasions between 2016 and 2019.
