According to tracking by the Johns Hopkins University, the total number of people infected with the coronavirus now stands at 7,783. As this map shows, the vast majority of confirmed cases, 7,678, are in mainland China. However, Thailand has now confirmed 14 cases while there are five instances of the virus in the United States.
