Cyprus: The coastal front of Famagusta has opened as Turkey kills all hope for a solution to the Cyprus issue

At the crossing point there are Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot journalists as well as foreign news agencies

Newsroom October 8 01:08

With an hour delay, the road to the coastal front of Varosha was opened by the authorities of the Turkish-Cypriot pseudo-state.

Instead of 11 as planned, it opened at 12.

At the crossing point there are Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot journalists as well as foreign news agencies.

There are no soldiers at the checkpoint but men with civilian clothing and the entry-point has been manned with Turkish-Cypriot “police”.
