Two earthquakes struck near the coastal town of Nafpaktos, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute. The first one was measured 4.7 on the Richter scale and occurred at 12:09 after midnight.

Almost two hours later there was a 4.4 magnitude aftershock with a slightly shifted focus.
