Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is in Athens and will meet with the Archbishop of Athens and Greece, Ieronymos II later in the afternoon.

His Holiness will have a series of important meetings with the leadership of the Church of Greece as well as with the political and state leadership of the country.

The announcement of the Ecumenical Patriarchate:
