Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan seemed nervous when commenting on the arrival of the six Rafale in Greece and the Belharra frigates, which Greece is expected to receive by 2026.
According to SKAI TV, when asked by reporters about Greece’s armaments programme, the Turkish president replied that Greece is procuring various weapons from France and stressed that “we must” strengthen. He noted that Greece is making various calculations in the region.
“Turkey is developing in a different way than in the past, it is getting stronger and we are obliged to strengthen. Because in our area, in different places, there are some who have their own calculations. Mainly Greece, which is buying various items from France and other places. We are in the process of securing our own autonomy,” he said.
