Chinese state media has confirmed that a China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737-800 registered as B-1791 operating flight MU5735 from Kunming to Guangzhou has crashed near Wuzhou in Southern China.
According to state media, at least 132 people were on board the aircraft, and rescue services have been dispatched to the crash site.
Data from flight trackers indicate that the flight descended at over -30,000 feet per minute before disappearing in mountainous terrain.
