Coronavirus Greece – 21,102 new cases, 60 deaths and 351 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,467 patients have been discharged from the ICU

Greek authorities announced today Friday that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 21,102, of which 14 were identified after checks at the country’s entry points.

The total number of cases is 3,051,531 (daily change + 0.7%), of which 49.1% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 181 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,778 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with Covid-19 are 60, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 27,571 deaths have been recorded. 95.3% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 351 (66.4% men). Their median age is 69 years. 91.7% have underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 210 (59.83%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 141 (40.17%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,467 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
