A tragedy in the air was avoided today, as a Greek paratrooper was left hanging for four minutes from a C-130 aircraft.

The HAF plane took off from Larnaca airport.

When it reached an altitude of 5,000 feet, the first paratrooper jumped out of the side of the C-130.

However, the parachute did not open nor was it detached, leaving the paratrooper hanging for several minutes, 4.5 meters from the aircraft.

The paratrooper tried to release his parachute, but was stopped by the safety ring that connects the belt to the bag containing the parachute.

Fortunately, the others on the plane found the way and pulled him inside.

In fact, the head of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Floros is expected to honor, in the coming days, the officers of the special forces.
