Last night saw 17 countries competed in the first semi-final of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) at Pala Olimpico Stadium in Turin, Italy.
Amanda Georgiadi Tenfjord represented Greece with the ballad ‘Die Together’ and was placed in the top 10, sending Greece through to the grand final which will take place on Sunday, 15 May.
‘Die Together’ is the name of the song that Amanda wrote alongside Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter.
Speaking recently about the meaning of the song, the singer said that “The title of the song may have a negative connotation. But if you listen carefully to the lyrics of the song you will realise that it is the anthem of absolute love.”
Tenfjord’s impressive long sheer white gown was designed by Celia Kritharioti while movement on stage was directed by choreographer Fokas Evangelinos.
The singer performed under blue lighting, surrounded by fallen-over chairs scattered across the floor.
