The fire in western Samos is out of control, with settlements being evacuated.

The Fire Brigade will fight through the night to contain the fire.

According to reports from residents houses have been burnt down.

Late in the afternoon, the fire front became more threatening and due to the dangerous situation, an evacuation order was given for the settlements of Makria Pounta and Limnionas.
