Newsroom September 23 12:15

The TRISKELION Motor Sports Association and the Hellenic Historic Car Club (ELIA) are organizing for the 9th consecutive year in the Peloponnese the historic car race called “Tour du Péloponnèse” from October 2 to 8, 2022.

The Tour du Péloponnèse, is a Regularity race that offers classic car enthusiasts a 1000km driving feast of exceptional Peloponnesian routes and the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful regions of Greece.

The racing part is expected with great interest since the TRISKELION has been established internationally for the selection of quality routes and the perfect organization that includes roadside assistance in the event of an emergency and online results services. With 70, mainly international but also Greek crews having already singed in, the “battles” on the special routes are expected to be “epic”.

The preparations of the Organizing Committee of the Tour du Péloponnèse are intensifying as there are now almost 10 days left for the start of Greece’s largest international historic car event!

The briefing of the foreign crews will take place on the first day of the event, Sunday, October 2, at the Grecotel Olympia Riviera hotel in Kyllini.

The ceremonial start will take place in Ancient Olympia on Monday, October 3 at 11.00 with the support of the Municipal Authority. The participants will head to Andritsaina and Karytaina with a final destination of Vytina, competing in 4 special routes. The participants will be preceded by a morning tour of the archaeological site and the stadium of the first Olympic games in Ancient Olympia.

On Tuesday, October 4, the adrenaline rises! Start from Vytina with the program including 5 special routes through the wonderful Arcadian landscapes. The regrouping will be at the imposing Foresta in Media Mores in Vlachokerasia. Our final destination is Mystras.

On Wednesday, October 5, the crews set off for another day of racing. The Wednesday leg includes 3 more special routes with the first one being the impressive Kaiada and with the competitors enjoying some of the most beautiful seaside routes in Greece.

Regrouping in Kardamili and ending in the historic Areopolis.

On Thursday, October 6, we continue with landscapes of wild Maniatic beauty. Five more special routes before Plytra and then Monemvasia through Agios Mamma and the unlimited view of Myrtou that it offers.

On Friday, October 7, the contenders for the trophy will start from Monemvasia to take part in 3 more special routes passing through Ieraka and Kyparissi through Laconic and Arcadian landscapes with a final destination of Nafplion, while in the evening the now infamous night special test under the castle of Akronaflia and Palamidi will judge this year’s winner as well.

Finally, on Saturday, October 8, the crews will remain in Nafplio, while in the evening the awarding ceremony will take place to the winners at the unique FOUGARO, a reference point for the city of Nafplio. The seventh and last day of the event is the departure day of the foreign crews.
