A single-engine aircraft crashed at noon on Wednesday at the 96th kilometer between Athens and Lamia. Eight firefighters with three vehicles rushed to the scene. According to the first information, the fire brigade was informed at 14:45 about the extrication of a person.
According to reports, the pilot, 70-75 years old, was killed. He reportedly went to land at a private air club and crashed just before landing outside the airport into some holly trees.
