Greek Army Colonel faces sexual assault allegations by a 15-year-old boy

An investigation is underway

The news of the arrest of a Colonel of the Greek Army following a complaint against him by a 15-year-old for sexual assault has caused an uproar in the Hellenic Armed Forces.

News of the officer’s arrest broke last Friday on charges of “sexual indecency” against a 15-year-old boy.

The major was arrested by men from the DIAS group after the 15-year-old’s complaint and then handed him over to the Military Police.

The Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Konstantinos Floros, is aware of the case and requested a speedy investigation into the question of immediate dismissal.
