“Mike” is probably the oldest parrot in Crete and at the same time one of the strongest… attractions of the peninsula.

He’s crazy about the Greek tzatziki, and he “makes a fuss” about everyone who wears black clothes, while he declares that he’s in love with its owner, Stefanos Dimelas, as he doesn’t hesitate to “fill” him with kisses during a TV interview!

The parrot was… a guest on “Kalo Mesimeri” TV with Lefteris and Christiana and impressed the show’s hosts by giving, among other things, several kisses to the man who has been taking care of him like his own child for 22 years.

And the stories about the oddities and tastes of the 80-year-old African parrot who sometimes pretends to be a football referee and sometimes a traffic policeman, are delightful.
