The Democrats won the Senate seat for Pennsylvania with their candidate John Fetterman beating the Republican candidate, the Turkish TV doctor Dr. Mehmet Oz.

This victory could prove decisive for control of the Senate as the counting of votes in the US midterm elections is underway.

With 90% of the votes counted, American media announced that Fetterman will be the winner in the Pennsylvania battle with the Democratic candidate making statements about his great victory.

Oz, a celebrity with close ties to the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had poured millions of dollars into the campaign, but he trailed Fetterman in the polls throughout the campaign, even as his Democratic opponent was out due to a stoke.
