PM Mitsotakis delivers speech at party’s central committee (video)

The PM said centres want a compromised government

Newsroom November 14 06:37

PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed his party’s central committee in light of the 2023 elections, outlining his government’s achievements. The prime minister started his speech with a reference to the 2023 elections. “We have to highlight our work, what we said we did. To ensure that Greece remains on the path of progress, blocking the road to a second time in calamity” he underlined.

“Never before has our country faced such great and successive crises. In this unstable environment, the Greek society and economy not only remained standing. Growth for 2022 reaches 6%. At the same time, unemployment fell to a 12-year low. Investment giants are voting for Greece, and big projects are progressing everywhere,” he stressed.

Making an indirect reference to the case of the phone surveillance issue, the prime minister emphasised that “some centers want a pressured prime minister and a compromised government. We won’t be deterred,” he added.
