An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of Methoni, in Messinia, according to the revised update of the Geodynamic Institute. Based on the same information, the tremor was recorded 21 kilometres south-southwest of Methoni, while the focal depth was 6 kilometres.
The tremor was felt in Kalamata and the surrounding areas of Messinia.
