Man dressed as giant penis arrested in Rio de Janeiro carnival

He was reportedly harassing people

Newsroom February 23 11:45

Police arrested a man dressed as a giant 7-foot penis after the women complained that he had been harassing them. Military Police in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, arrested a man dressed as a giant phallus in the city center on Sunday for “acting suspiciously.”

An image shows the man dressed in an inflatable manhood costume and a pair of flip-flops as an officer peacefully leads him away.

Only the man’s feet and rather grim face can be seen as the officer, with a cane under his arm, stops him.  The city’s carnival-goers told police that she had been using her costume to persecute women taking part in the city’s parades, local media reported.

One Twitter user commented: “The harsh reality.” Other netizens suggested that it looked more like poop than a penis.

And he wasn’t the only Carnival reveler seized over the weekend. Police on patrol in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais state, arrested a 20-year-old dressed as a prisoner as he was leaving his home to join a parade on Saturday.
