The fastest electric car from 0-400m in the world is…

Only 150 cars will be built

Newsroom February 25 04:26

The ultimate 400m acceleration record now belongs to an electric supercar from Italy.

The performance clash in the new generation of electric supercars is well underway with manufacturers big and small now furiously chasing every tenth of a second and every…kW. After all, being the fastest of all in the measurements always gives a sense of satisfaction to the maker and extra prestige to the machine.

Undoubtedly one of the fastest electric supercars is the Pininfarina Battista with 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque. Now the Italian “arrow” is also the fastest vehicle in the world in the process of accelerating from 0 to 400m. The car was officially tested at the Natrax facility in India in February and the results were highly impressive.

The Battista managed to cover 400 metres from a standstill in just 8.55 seconds with a top speed of 269 km/h. This means it has broken the Rimac Nevera record of 8.58 seconds and is now officially the fastest car in the world. But in addition to this performance, the Battista achieved an incredible top speed of 358 km/h, while 0-100 km/h came in just 1.86 seconds.

With no official measurements taken, Pininfarina says the Battista also holds the deceleration record, achieving a standstill from 100-0 km/h in just 31 metres. There will only be 150 Pininfarina Battista cars manufactured and it will take 10 weeks to complete, while it will take another 8 weeks for the special paint of one’s choice to be delivered to the customer.
