The Athens Prosecutor has brought a felony charge against the train station master in Larissa, Vassilis Samaras, for disturbing the safety of transportation, manslaughter, and negligent bodily harm. The station master remained for 10 minutes in front of the prosecutor at noon on Thursday and after the accusations were announced, he was given a deadline to present his defence to the investigator next Saturday, until which time he will remain in custody.
According to his lawyer, “Mr. Samaras, from the first moment, has taken his share of responsibility”.
