Acting Prime Minister Ioannis Sarmas arrived at the Presidential Palace at 1 p.m. to meet with the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, in order to co-decide the persons who will form the interim government after the formal meeting of political leaders where it was once again established that the conditions for the formation of a cooperative government do not exist.

In the dialogue that they had, Mrs. Sakellaropoulou welcomed Mr. Sharmas to her office, telling him that “I called you because, as you know, today’s council of political leaders formally found that it was not possible to form a government as provided for in Article 37, and thus we reached the last resort of the Constitution for caretaker government.
