Volos Mayor Beos doubles down on his opinion against promotion of homosexual lifestyle – “I love women”

Beos caused a backlash when he called SYRIZA leader a "fag**t"

Newsroom October 11 05:06

Achilleas Beos, the newly elected Volos Mayor doubled down on his opinions about homosexuality which triggered the launch of an official investigation by an Athens prosecutor on late Sunday.

Speaking to reporters Beos stressed that he is a lover of the female gender.

“I am waiting for the question you want to ask me. First of all, the Kasselakis (SYRIZA leader) issue for me is over. I won’t take any questions, I’m not interested. What I said was about Kasselakis and no one else. I have never been and will never be homophobic in my life. I’m an open person and I have a lot of friends and I like it, I like it. I don’t care if I’m judged, I’m a free person, free-thinking and I express myself freely. But you journalists need to stop this bullshit because you’re tiresome. The few will impose themselves on the many. Enough! The TV and radio are full of boys who want to change our minds. I’m a man who worships the female sex, I can’t live without you I have no reason to exist. I accept women worshipping the male sex, so what are we going to do about it? I also accept this portion of people, their right is their personal life. But that’s it,” Achilleas Beos said.

“The right thing to say would be that Kasselakis is not a role model and we will not produce many Kasselakis-types in my country. And if you want to do a poll, see how many people are for me,” said the mayor of Volos.

Beos caused a backlash during a victory speech on Sunday night when referring to SYRIZA leader Stefanos Kasselakis and his male partner Tyler said he was against promoting a homosexual lifestyle in Greek society.
