According to information from cretapost, it all happened yesterday, late in the afternoon, when the fishing boat with dozens of migrants on board sent out an SOS while it was 25 nautical miles south of Gavdos.
Immediately the Coast Guard, under the coordination of the Joint Search and Rescue Coordination Centre, launched a rescue operation.
Patrol boats and coastal vessels rushed to the spot and rescued the migrants.
